Joshua 1:9 ARRIVAL + PARKING Please plan to arrive between 2:00 and 2:30 PM to give yourself plenty of time to park, check in, grab your race materials, and get settled before opening remarks. Free parking is available adjacent to the event. When you arrive, follow the TRADES5K signs. Our volunteers will direct you to parking and participant check-in. Registered participants will receive a goodie bag at check-in, including: • TRADES5K Iron Joc performance shirt • Event wristband • Food ticket • And more You do not need to bring your registration ticket. We’ll have our participant list at check-in. We recommend having your confirmation email available on your phone just in case. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder. KIDS 1K Our youngest runners get to kick things off! The Kids 1K begins at 3:10 PM. Please have participating kids gather at the starting line. Participants will walk to the starting point and run back to the finish line. Parents, feel free to run along with your children and cheer them on! Medals will be given to all participants, with special first-, second- and third-place medals awarded after the race.   2K WALK The 2K Walk begins at 3:45 PM, giving walkers a head start before the 5K begins. Kids are welcome to walk with you, and strollers are allowed.   The walk and run share portions of the same route. Please follow course markings and volunteer instructions. Walkers will stay to the right side of the road on the way out, and return on the same side so runners can pass safely. 5K RUN The 5K begins at 4:00 PM and takes runners through a scenic countryside route along Franklin Road and Oneil Road. Local law enforcement will close the course to through traffic during the race. We’ll have one general start, with competitive runners lining up in the front. Timers will be positioned at the starting line and halfway point. We will not be using chipped racing bibs for our inaugural year. First-, second-, and third-place finishers will receive awards at the finish line. Please follow all course markings and volunteer instructions throughout the race. MILLIES MILE Near the end of the course, you’ll experience Millies Mile, created in honor of Josh Millies and to support Nora, Harlow, Reese, and Rowan, and as a reminder of why our community is coming together. It’s a special part of the course, and we hope you take it in. DON’T LEAVE AFTER THE FINISH LINE The race is just part of the day. Stick around after the 5K for BBQ from Slo Motion BBQ, live music, our silent auction, time with the TRADES5K community, and fireworks at dusk. Your meal is included with registration. FOOD + DRINKS Your food ticket includes one sandwich and one side. Additional meals will be available for $17 each. Water and other beverages will be available throughout the event. SILENT AUCTION We have some incredible items lined up for the inaugural TRADES5K Silent Auction. Bidding opens at noon Monday, October 5, and closes at 7:00 PM on event day. You will receive the auction link on October 5. You can easily register and bid directly from your phone before and during the event. Stop by the Auction Tent on event day to check out the items in person! GRAMMY’S CORNER Make sure your kids check out Grammy’s Corner for fun crafts, games, bubbles, temporary tattoos and much more! WHAT TO BRING • Running or walking shoes • Weather-appropriate clothing • Your phone for silent auction bidding • A sweatshirt or jacket for later in the evening RAIN OR SHINE It’s October in Wisconsin, so come prepared! TRADES5K will take place rain or shine. Keep an eye on the forecast and dress accordingly. If severe weather requires us to make any changes, we’ll contact registered participants by email and post updates on Facebook and our website. A NOTE ABOUT THE PROPERTY TRADES5K is being held on private property, and we’re grateful to be able to host the event in such an incredible setting. Please stay within designated event areas, follow event signage, and listen to the direction of our volunteers throughout the day.   THANK YOU!
